Footloose

We started working on Footloose March 25th. Some of you know that I’ve resisted this dance as long as possible because I learned Slappin’ Leather to this song originally. The dances are similar enough that it threw me for a loop trying to learn this. However, this version is the one popping up in clubs across the continent and on TikTok, too. We all know that TikTok now is a serious consideration for line dancing. We instructors are just here to make sure we’re teaching good technique and the proper dance steps.

There were a lot of demo videos and some tutorials. This was one that used proper steps and terminology, so she wins. If ever I make a tutorial, I’ll update here.
